All grown-up and mature - Kurt Schoonraad at his best !!
From his hilarious childhood growing up in the Flats to his equally hilarious present, Comedian Kurt Schoonraad invites you on a wildly funny journey into the deepest reaches of his warped mind with his new production HomeGroan. It opens at the Baxter Concert Hall for a season from 26 January to 6 February 2010 at 20.15 and sees Kurt and friends - Altaf Kazi, Horatio Caine and a horde of Aliens make the amazing discovery that coloured people are taking over the world !
Director Rob van Vuuren, a comic Tour de Force and versatile performer (Twakkie, in The Most Amazing Show, Strictly Come Dancing, SA’s Got Talent and more) says, ‘It has been a dream come true to finally work with a man whose hair and eyeballs I have admired from afar for quite some time. HomeGroan reinforces why Schoonraad is such a stellar player in the South African Comedy industry as he crosses that invisible threshold between young manhood and full blown middle age!.
‘Developing this new show has become quite a humbling experience. ‘I’ve never tackled comedy from this angle before’, states Kurt. ‘I am really excited to be working with a well known South African comedy genius like Rob, but I wouldn’t be able to finish a whole one!”
RESISTANCE IS FUTILE, YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED!!!
